Kerri Ann Bent is a New York licensed attorney currently working at Barclays. She works in the Financial Crime department focusing on Sanctions, Anti-Money Laundering, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption. Her sanctions experience includes providing transactional guidance relating to the regulatory regimes in place against Russia, Iran, Cuba, Sudan, Syria, and North Korea, with emphasis on regulations administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). She is a member of Barclays Legal Pro Bono team and the Barclays Women’s Initiative Network; an organization which recruits, develops, and provide mentors for women. Ms. Bent received her J.D. from Seton Hall Law School where she served on the Moot Court competition team. During law school she spent time studying at the American University in Cairo, Egypt focusing on Admiralty Law, Islamic Law and Oil and Gas transactions. Ms. Bent received her B.A. in Political Science and Finance from Rutgers University and is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Ms. Bent is a frequent guest speaker and writer on topics relating to ethics, compliance, and the practice of law.
