Shannon Harvey, Esq., a Pennsylvania native, is the principal attorney of the Miami-based Law Offices of Shannon Harvey, P.A., celebrating it’s 10-year anniversary this year, 2017. Ms. Harvey is licensed in New York and Florida. She practices probate, guardianship, intellectual property, entertainment law, and contract litigation.
Shannon (a.k.a. “Legal Fox™”) is also the writer, co-creator, co-producer, and talent of “Legal Fox TV™” an IMDb-credited, unique, YouTube series providing entertaining commentary on chosen lawsuits. The short series was awarded “Best in Edutainment” at the 2016 “Miami Web Fest” an international film festival showcasing popular new web series content.
Ms. Harvey’s office has had the honor of serving as Private Counsel for the United States Department of Justice, 2011-2014, representing the U.S. in a large volume of breach of contract lawsuits filed in the Southern District of Florida. Prior to opening her own law practice in 2007, Shannon held the position of In-House Counsel to a large healthcare management company.
Shannon has since brought her experience into the entertainment law arena with matters ranging from copyright infringement and trademark registration to film investment disputes, defamation, and publicity rights. Her role as legal counsel enabled the first annual “Hollywood Florida Film Festival” to be established last year and continues this year.
Ms. Harvey earned her Bachelor’s degree from Temple University with Magna Cum Laude honors and her Juris Doctorate in 2002 from University of Miami School of Law with Cum Laude honors.
