Melinda Taylor

Melinda Taylor was named executive director of the RCSDF in April 2013. Previously, she was the director of the Honoring Families Initiative at IAALS.
Melinda Taylor joined IAALS after working eight years as a district court administrator for the 17th Judicial District. As a district administrator, she coached more than 160 employees and 30 judicial officers, coordinated the activities of Adams and Broomfield counties, provided case flow management in conjunction with the Clerk’s Office, and developed and implemented new policies in conjunction with judges and court staff.
During this time, Ms.Taylor became involved with the IAALS, working with the research manager and the Colorado Judicial Branch to implement the Colorado Civil Access Pilot Project.
Before working as a district administrator, Ms.Taylor worked for the Colorado Judicial Branch State Court Administrator’s Office (SCAO) in judicial education and policy analysis in the family area. As a judicial education coordinator, she planned the annual Judicial Conference and Family Law Conference, planned, developed, and administered a comprehensive communications and education program for Colorado judges, and performed budget oversight and resource acquisition for judicial education programs.
