César Cuauhtémoc García Hernández

César Cuauhtémoc García Hernández, the Gregory Williams Chair in Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, is a renowned expert in the intersection of criminal and immigration law. He’s authored two books, with a third on the way in 2024. His scholarly work has been featured in top legal journals, ranking him among the top ten most-cited immigration law scholars in the United States.

Before joining Ohio State University, he taught at other esteemed institutions and held prestigious scholar positions. García Hernández is also a prolific opinion writer for major publications and has served on the American Bar Association’s Commission on Immigration.
