Mala Rafik is co-chair of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court standing committee on lawyer well-being and a partner at Rosenfeld & Rafik, P.C. Her New England law firm represents clients denied access to health care as well as individuals seeking short- and long-term disability and seeking life and long-term care benefits from private insurance carriers. Her clients typically suffer from debilitating chronic illnesses and disabilities. She has achieved several pivotal litigation victories in state and federal court. She also has represented nonprofit organizations whose mission is to foster or provide health care.
Rafik serves and has served on multiple boards regarding the law and client services. She has been named both a Massachusetts Rising Star and Super Lawyer by Boston Magazine and earned multiple awards including being named one of the top 50 women lawyers in New England and one of the top 100 lawyers in Massachusetts by Super Lawyers. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Colby College and her JD at the Northeastern University School of Law.
