Back on August 31st 2005, the Legal Talk Network launched this podcast that would become the longest running legal podcast. And 250 podcasts later, the award-winning Lawyer2Lawyer podcast is celebrating its 5th anniversary. Attorneys and co-hosts Bob Ambrogi and J.Craig Williams, spotlight two other pioneers of legal podcasting, Denise Howell, the host of This Week in Law and Struan Robertson, Legal Director for Pinsent Masons LLP and founding editor of OUT-LAW.com/OUT-LAW Radio . They take a look at the value of a podcast for a lawyer today, as well as time commitment, differentiation, and a bit of fun.
The online numerical ranking system of lawyers, Avvo, launched last week with mixed reviews. Many attorneys complained about Avvo‘s information and some even called it a popularity contest. Two Seattle attorneys have filed a class action lawsuit against Avvo. On Lawyer 2 Lawyer, we discuss thoughts about the product, the class action suit, competition among lawyers and the future of Avvo. Law.com bloggers and co-hosts, J. Craig Williams and Robert Ambrogi welcome our guests: Attorney John Henry Browne, criminal defense attorney at The Law offices of John Henry Browne of Seattle and one of the attorneys filing the class action lawsuit, Carolyn Elefant, founder and principal attorney in the Law Offices of Carolyn Elefant and blogger for MyShingle.com and Law.com’s Legal Blog Watch. Also joining us is Denise Howell, appellate, intellectual property, and technology lawyer and blogger for Bag and Baggage. Denise is also a featured ZDNET blogger and has her own podcast.
Coast to Coast, hosted by attorneys and Law.com bloggers J. Craig Williams and Bob Ambrogi is celebrating 1-Year in the legal podcasting arena here on the LegalTalkNetwork. Hear what Craig and Bob have to say about how it works, who is listening and what’s ahead in technology for podcasters along with guests, Attorney Evan Schaeffer, and Attorney Denise Howell, both of whom are long-time legal bloggers and podcasters, and LegalTalkNetwork Co-founder Lu Ann Reeb.
Blogging has become a very popular way to share facts and opinions on any topic that you could imagine. The majority of legal bloggers are attorneys from small and individually owned firms, while lawyers at large firms have, for the most part, stayed away from it. Join hosts and Law.com bloggers, J. Craig Williams and Bob Ambrogi as they speak to top blawggers, Attorney Denise Howell, whose blawg is “Bag and Baggage,” Attorney Ernie Svenson, who writes “Ernie the Attorney” and Attorney Howard Bashman, whose blawg is entitled “How Appealing.” Coast to Coast is sponsored by Law.com.
